Description
A very traditional silver tupo, brought to us from our Peruvian artisan partners in Cusco, Hilda Cachi and her father Gregorio Cachi.
As with all of our beautiful products from the Cachi family, this tupo has been crafted using traditional colonial tools and techniques. All though the design is colonial, the subject matter is very Peruvian and the symbolism very mystical and Andean.
The dangles are of handmade chain, crafted by the Cachis, small pieces of spondylus and animal charms.
These tupos are used as “stick pins” using to affix the blankets that the Andean women wear around their shoulders.
