Large Traditional Peacock Tupo

Description

Handmade peruvian artisan jewelry. This traditional peacock tupo was made in the studio of Gregorio Cachi in Cusco, Peru.  A collaboration between Sr. Gregorio and his equally talented daughter, Hilda, both have been internationally acknowledged by UNESCO for the quality and the cultural importance of their work.

The design and techniques used to create this tupo are colonial.  The Cachi studio works using  the colonial process and tools.

This traditional Pavo Real can be worn as a broach or pendant. Handmade in 950 silver, 3 glass stones and 3 handmade dangles with symbolically important animal charms.
